I was delighted to receive over 100 fantastic entries to my Christmas Card Competition this year, which made choosing a winner incredibly difficult. The creativity from pupils across the constituency was outstanding.
A huge congratulations to Alani from Broadclyst Community Primary School, who is the winner of my Christmas Card Competition. I chose Alani’s design because it really reminded me of Devon. Her brilliant drawing of a seagull wearing a Christmas hat with a chip in its mouth perfectly captured both festive spirit and local character.
I was also very pleased to take Alani’s card over to Speaker’s House, where I hand delivered it and had a photo with the Speaker, who was very impressed with the design.
Well done as well to our runners up Lily from Westclyst Community Primary School and Abigail from Clyst Heath Primary School.
On Friday, I visited all three schools to meet the pupils, chat with them about their artwork, and personally present their prizes. It was a real pleasure to meet them all.
Thank you to everyone who took part, and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas
