I was back on Politics South West today talking about the upcoming Budget and what it means for hospitality and local businesses across our region. I raised the importance of getting spirits duty right, especially for our local producers, and mentioned my recent visit to Two Drifters Distillery , who are doing fantastic work despite the pressures they face.
We also discussed the Fairer Funding Review 2.0 framework and what it could mean for councils and public services here in the South West. It’s vital that our area gets a fair deal, and I’ll keep making that case.
