I am opposing increases to shotgun licence fees

I have added my name to a cross-party letter to the Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper, opposing the Government’s proposal to increase shotgun certification fees by 245 per cent.

This increase, described in the letter as “exorbitant”, would see licence costs rise by more than four times the rate of inflation since 2015, when they were last reviewed. I believe it is wrong to place such an excessive burden on law-abiding certificate holders, and I will continue to press the Government on this issue.
