Today I’ve written to ministers in Westminster about the ongoing Exeter Port Authority Harbour Revision Order.
I remain concerned about the prospect of the changes being pushed through, and the impact they could have locally across the Exe Estuary.
Many local people, community groups, river users and businesses feel the consultation has been inadequate, and that the proposals remain unclear and inaccessible. Too many people also feel their concerns are not being listened to by Exeter City Council. That’s why I’ve urged ministers not to go ahead with the planned changes, and asked for an urgent meeting to raise these issues directly.
