I’m pleased to see the Department for Health and Social Care allocating significant new funding to local NHS services, including investment in the Nightingale Hospital in our constituency.
The Nightingale in Exeter is already playing an important role in supporting patients across Devon, particularly by expanding access to vital diagnostic services and helping to tackle waiting times. This kind of investment is exactly what is needed to ensure people can get the care they need more quickly and closer to home.
As you will know, improving access to health and social care has always been a key priority of mine. This funding is a positive step forward for our area.
I will continue working cross party with fellow MPs, ministers and our local Integrated Care Board to make the case for our community and ensure we keep improving local services.
