This evening I spent a shift out on patrol with Exmouth Police, gaining a first-hand insight into the vital work our local officers do to keep people safe. It was a privilege to join the team, see the challenges they face, and hear directly about the priorities for policing in our community.
I really enjoyed spending time with the officers and witnessing their professionalism and commitment. From responding to incidents to engaging with local people, their dedication to protecting and supporting our community was clear throughout the shift.
I want to thank the whole team at Exmouth Police for welcoming me and for the work they do every single day. Keeping our streets safe is a constant challenge, but it was inspiring to see the determination and teamwork of those on the frontline in Exmouth and Exeter East.
